Bibio sinnum þrír
Eitthvað það albesta sem borist hefur að eyrum mínum þetta árið er Ambivalence Avenue, breiðskífa hins breska Bibio. Stephen Wilkinson, eins og hann heitir réttu nafni, hefur verið að mála hjá Warp og Mush útgáfunum, sem gefur til kynna að hérna sé á ferðinni einhverskonar gáfumanna-elektró. Það er þó töluvert meira spunnið í Bibio en þéttir/klipptir taktar: hann síður saman hip-hop sömplum, soul, fönki og fólk-músík. Óhætt að mæla með þessari plötu!
Eflaust hafa margir nú þegar bragðað snilldina en fyrir þá sem þyrstir í meira þá var Bibio að senda frá sér tvær skífur til viðbótar ekki fyrir svo löngu. Annarsvegar er það stuttskífan Ovals and Emeralds, sem áður hafði verið gefin út rafrænt en er nú fáanleg á plasti. Og hinsvegar er það platan The Apple and the Tooth, sem inniheldur endurlífgaða útgáfu Ambivalence Avenue í formi re-mixaðara laga af plötunni, plús fjögur ný lög.
